Online practice tests are available for students who are currently in years 4-10. Younger students may access the year 4 practice tests by having their details edited in their Parent Account.
PLEASE NOTE: There are only 3 sets of practice tests at each of the above year levels. Therefore if you buy 3 tests, and then purchase more tests at the same year level, they will be exactly the same. (no refund will be given in this instance).
However, you can change the year level of the practice tests to a higher level, by choosing to start a new test. A drop down box will allow you to choose any year level you wish to undertake.
NOTE: Once you have started a test, you cannot change the year level. You can only change to a different level by starting a new set of tests.
The practice tests cover the following four sub-tests:
-
Verbal Reasoning
-
Numerical Reasoning
-
Reading Comprehension
-
Mathematics
The actual scholarship examination will also include a Written Expression component. It is not possible to include the written expression component in an online practice test. Please read the important information on the Scholarship and Testing information here: http://www.edutest.com.au/pa-scholarshiptesting.htm
Online practice tests:
-
All tests are multiple choice.
-
Each test has 20 practice questions.
-
There are 3 different practice tests per year level offered. Test 1 is the lowest level of difficulty, with Test 3 being the most challenging.
-
Students may go back and change an answer if needed.
-
Once completed, each test provides instant feedback in relation to correct and incorrect answers.
-
The student’s login allows them to access the tests, pause a test at any stage if they wish to take a break, and re-enter at their convenience.
-
You do not have to complete all tests at the one time.
Please remember, that the online practice tests are designed to make the student feel comfortable with the style and format of questions they are likely to encounter in the scholarship/entrance examination. The practice tests are not coaching tools, hence they are not timed and therefore they cannot entirely duplicate the actual examination material.
NOTE: Practice tests are valid for one scholarship/entrance exam cycle, between October of any given year, and September of the following year. All online practice tests purchased during a cycle, can be used up until 30 September, after which the practice tests are no longer valid or accessible. More practice tests would need to be purchased in the new cycle beginning October 1, each year.
Cost:
One set of tests for $25 (80 questions)
Two sets of tests for $45 (160 questions)
Three sets of tests for $55 (240 questions)
